David Lindley, a virtuoso on many stringed instruments, died March 3rd, 2023, at the age of 78. He played in Kaleidoscope {once described by a radio friend of mine as "Turkish rock" :)) }, then with Terry Reid, Jackson Browne, Crosby-Nash, James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, Warren Zevon and with many others as a session musician. // * - He was billed as 'Muddy Waters and his Guitar' /// ** - this information was included on another Youtube video posted, and included all the same musicians wearing the same outfits; so, same performance?
* - On the US B-side of 'The Village Green Preservation Society', July of 1969 // This was their _first_ studio LP which failed to chart in either England or United States; it was lauded by contemporary critics for its songwriting, and embraced by the new underground rock press, completing the Kinks' transformation from mid-1960s pop hitmakers in 1964 - 1967, to critically favoured cult band.
Pete Shelley later recalled: (in Nov 1977) "We were in the Blenheim Guest House with pints of beer, sitting in the TV room half-watching the film "Guys and Dolls". One of the characters, Adelaide, is saying to Marlon Brando's character, 'Wait till you fall in love with someone you shouldn't have.' "I thought, 'fallen in love with someone you shouldn't have?' Hmm, that's good." // Their biggest (English) hit / Click on the Link above, to view the original English single, with a picture sleeve

The Ducks (formerly known as the Jeff Blackburn Band) were a short-lived American hard rock supergroup formed in the summer of 1977 by singer-songwriter Jeff Blackburn. The band included Bob Mosley (an original member of Moby Grape),Neil Young, and Johnny Craviotto. The band played a series of impromptu bar gigs around the Santa Cruz area in 1977. The set lists were very democratic, with each member of the band taking the lead in turn. / This will be their first official release - click on the Link above, left to read about this release.
