2023 Fundraiser / Looking Back 50 years to 1973 UK Folk Rock 50 years ago, British folk rock was still in its heyday, said to span from 1969 to 1976. We're digging into this musical subgenre's 1973 releases, including a handful by Scottish and Irish bands. Most here are original compositions, as opposed to the more traditional offerings of this "species." Should you choose to dig into your wallets as you listen, I will, of course, bow to tradition and do a jig!

We cheat "a little" with our first song! I'd been misdirected, but I chose to leave it in. This was recorded in summer 1973 and meant to be released in the fall...but a hold up delayed its release until summer 1974. Anything for Sandy (still my vote for greatest female singer of all time)!
